The Batman is a superhero film based on the DC Comics superhero Batman. It is an origin story for the character, and the second movie in Retrobatman's DC Cinematic Universe after Superman Begins.

Plot[]
Fifteen years after the murder of his parents, Bruce Wayne travels to Nanda Parbat and becomes a student of Ra's al Ghul, the leader of the League of Shadows. Five years later, he leaves the League after refusing to kill Ra's and take over the League. He returns to Gotham City, where he becomes a vigilante known as the Batman. After being a vigilante for several months, and even taking on a young protege named Dick Grayson, he will have to face Ra's al Ghul again when the League of Shadows comes to Gotham City.

- Both Jason Isaacs and Stana Katic have voiced the characters that they portray in this movie before. Isaacs voiced Ra's al Ghul in the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood, while Katic voiced Talia in the game Batman: Arkham City.
