Premise[]
During Brainiac's invasion of Metropolis, war hero John Corben loses two of his limbs, and blames Superman for not saving him in time. Now, 18 months later, he is given a chance for a new life and revenge on Superman by corrupt businessman Lex Luthor. His brain is transplanted into a robot body, and he is reborn as Metal-0/Metallo and he sets out to destroy Superman. Meanwhile, a LexCorp employee named Winslow Schott, Jr. quits, and a villain named Toyman starts giving Superman and Luthor trouble. Could Schott and Toyman be the same person, and how will Superman deal with Metallo, who is powered by a kryptonite heart?
